Adjacent to the Main Lodge are 21 luxury lodge rooms, each reminiscent of a turn-of-the-century hunting cabin. From MTJ-Montrose Regional Airport: SE From Montrose Regional Airport/MTJ - Upon leaving the Montrose airport, take a left onto Hwy. US 550 and proceed to Main St. This is the intersection of US 550/Townsend Ave. and US 50/Main St. TURN RIGHT on WEST MAIN ST. and drive west approx. 2 miles to Hwy 90/Hwy 90 is at the top of the hill just past the stop light at Spring Creek Blvd. TURN LEFT onto HWY. 90 and proceed approx. 1.5 miles to the *T* intersection. TURN RIGHT at the *T* to remain on Hwy. 90 and go approx 1/4 mile to Dave Wood Rd. TURN LEFT onto DAVE WOOD RD. Stay on Dave Wood Rd. all the way/approx. 15 miles to the resort entrance. Dave Wood Rd. will turn into a gravel / dirt road. Travel until you see the large wood and iron gate with the prominent ELK MOUNTAIN RESORT arched sign on the left side of the road. TURN LEFT and travel through the gate and proceed to the Security gate where you will be directed to the Main Lodge.
