Welcome to Scandic Anglais — closed for renovation until 2006 When the renovation is complete, you’ll discover a modern, welcoming hotel. The bar will have a fireplace and nice sofas, and a show kitchen will be placed in the centre of the restaurant. The new relax area will include a gym, hot pools and comfortable armchairs. On the conference floor, efficient rooms of different sizes will have generous areas for breaks. Stockholm’s Koncept architect bureau and Paul Bevis from Bevis Seifert Interior Design in London are in charge of design and furnishing.
Location description: Scandic Anglais is located in the centre of Stockholm, in the business, shopping and entertainment district of Stureplan. Many of the capital’s major attractions, such as the Old Town, the Royal Palace, the Wasa Museum, NK and the ferries to the Stockholm archipelago are all within walking distance of the hotel. By car or taxi, Stockholm Arlanda Airport is about 40 minutes from the hotel. On the Arlanda Express, you can be at Central Station in 20 minutes. You then have the choice of a 15-minute walk, a short taxi ride or underground, getting out at Östermalmstorg. If travelling by car, follow the signs to Stureplan. Scandic Anglais can be found at the intersection of Sturegatan and Humlegårdsgatan, with the entrance facing Humlegården. Parking your car is easy, in our garage beneath the hotel.

Standard Room (Standard Room) Each measuring 21 square meters, our Standard rooms are equipped with queen-size beds, which means they can function as either single or double rooms. The view out over Sturegatan gives you a splendid glimpse of the vibrant atmosphere in this part of Stockholm.
Suite (Suite) 6 corner suites with all facilities, one living room, one bedroom with one bathroom. 3 regular suites with all facilities, one living room, one bedroom and one bathroom.
Superior Room (Other room type than std, dlx, ste, ... etc.) At 28 square meters, the Superior rooms are our largest rooms apart from the suites. Most have a balcony with either a parkland view over the Humlegården or overlooking the hotel courtyard — the latter being the most peaceful. Each room has twin beds, placed either together or apart as required. There is also space for an extra bed, making the room suitable for a family of three. Larger families can reserve two interconnecting rooms.
Cabin (Other room type than std, dlx, ste, ... etc.) The cabins are our smallest rooms — but they have everything you need if you’re staying at the hotel for just one night. A cabin measures 12 square meters and is very well designed, to accommodate a single bed, shower and toilet, TV, minibar and desk. These rooms have no windows, as they are located one floor below ground level. This gives them the added advantage of being very quiet.
Banquet A, B, C or D Choose between Banquet Room A, B, C or D when making arrangements for anything from fifteen to fifty people. Each room is the same shape and offers the same equipment. The floors are made of marble. Cut-glass chandeliers create an attractive and pleasant lighting mood; there is good natural light from the large windows, which look out over the Humlegården park, providing a superb view. Banquet A+B+C+D At Scandic Anglais we can cater for meetings and functions of any size. Banquet Rooms A, B, C and D are separated by partition walls that can be opened up to make one large room. Banquet Room A+B, B+C and C+D Two conference rooms are highly suitable for meetings and functions for up to 100 people. They can be combined by opening up a partition wall and you can choose the permutation that is right for you: either Banquet Room A+B, B+C or C+D. Shape and equipment are the same for each room, and their flexibility makes them all suitable for use in theatre style as well as in classroom or U-shape layouts. Area Description: First Floor
Banquet Room A+B+C or B+C+D When you choose Banquet Room A+B+C or B+C+D, we can help you with all the necessary arrangements to cater for up to 150 people. The three separate rooms can be made into a single, large room by opening up the partition wall between them. Rooms F, G, H and I Rooms F, G, H and I are suitable for smaller meetings and functions. They are linked in pairs by interconnecting doors and two connected rooms can seat 50 in theatre style or 25 in a classroom layout. Area Description: First Floor
Board Room The Boardroom is a perfect choice for smaller meetings. It also has the flexibility to host larger gatherings by opening up the connecting doors to the adjacent Grand Anglais Salong and Rooms F and G, giving three separate but interconnecting rooms. Area Description: First Floor
Grand Anglais Salong Grand Anglais Salong is the perfect choice for smaller meetings and conferences. It also has the flexibility to host larger gatherings by opening the connecting doors to the adjacent Boardroom and Banquet D Room. It will still be three separate rooms but now in connection with each other. Area Description: First Floor
Room F+J and H+I Rooms F+G and H+I can cater for anything from twenty to fifty people, depending on which layout you choose. The rooms are suitable for theatre-style, boardroom, U-shape and classroom layouts, being rectangular in shape. All windows face the east. Area Description: First Floor
All Banquets A good example of the flexibility of our conference rooms is that it’s possible to combine all the Banquet Rooms together for a really big function, catering for up to 350 people for a seated dinner.
